The screen fill color is to heavy

I've switched from the forum default to anecdota. With both I had the problem that the blue in the background is to heavy. I'm speaking of the area outside the forum, which fills the screen of the browser. This color is to heavy and hurts on the eyes when you look at for a longer duration. Can this be toned down to a more gentler color.

I set the non-discussion type forums to not count post count. That way post count actually means something, at least IMO.

Well it doesn't hurt the eyes anymore, so I think it is fine. Let's just work with it for a while.

I still think the background color could stand to be a darker blue so it's easier on the eyes.  Also it all being close to one shade just makes it less visually appealing.

Side note, you can hardly read the subtext on the logo.
